We loved them in the 90′s, swooned over them in the early 2000′s and not after a 7 year absence, their jumping on the 90′s band revival bandwagon and returning for a bit more MMMbop!

The concerts as expected are set to provide a mixture of their current material combined with old classics.

Now this is a weather system we can all look forward to – the Swedish El Nino effect is back:

Peo De Pitte. Ambar. Friday 30 March. Finally.

A Swede living in London, Peo De Pitte aka ‘The Remix King’ is one of the most sought after remix producers on the industry. After breaking into the industry with three massive viral remixes: Marcus Rombo’s ‘Bringing’; the Drummatic Twins’ ‘Crazy Love’ and a remix for his own ‘Be My Baby’, Peo was nominated for Best Remix and Best Breakthrough Producer at the 2010 International Breakspoll Awards. If you find yourself regularly getting down to the likes of Fake Blood, Krafty Kuts, Sinden and the Plump DJs then Peo De Pitte is the Swede to feed you!

Proving Peo is basically the new cowbell; his sounds are a beautiful and impressive mix of sub-bass and disco-beats. He’s collaborated with our favourite boys, NAPT on ‘Gonna Be Mine’, Matt Cantor (‘Mo Fire’), Birdee (‘Gimme Some Money’) and his own recent original tracks ‘Who Do You Love?’ and ‘Grey Tape’. The Pitte has kicked off 2012 by remixing our Plumpest DJs’ thumping track ‘Boomer’.

He first blew us away at Major Break in 2010, which warranted a headline show at Ambar in early 2011. If the Mayans are right, this may be your last chance to experience the Pitte. Men want to be him. Women can’t help but dance to him. DJ’s and producers are queuing up to work with him.

Oh, IKEA! Welcome to the world of Peo de Pitte.

Enigmatic, straight-talking 360 is taking his contentious live show to the masses come February and March 2012 on the back of his addictive new single ‘Boys Like You’. And not a moment too soon.

The ‘Boys Like You’ Tour picks up where the sold out national ‘Falling & Flying’ album tour left off, boasting twelve big shows to give fans another tasty dose of the pumped up 360 party.  Once again, it’s not just capital cities feeling the love, limited regional centres will also get a look into 360’s high-energy world. Six’s crew will join him in these live conquests and wingman Mat Cant will control the vibe as Six mans the mic with his trademark authority.  And there is no telling which other guests might venture onto Six’s stage. All tickets are on sale now. Look sharp and hook into them quick.

360’s Falling & Flying album landed at #4 in the ARIA Charts in September and has been entrenched in the Top 50 ever since. ‘Boys Like You’ is the newest addictive cut from the record, parading an overcharged dub vibe tied up by a unique hook courtesy of indie-darling Gossling. This track is destined to define summer.

360 has changed the game and you can expect the 360 army to mobilise once more and help Six deliver something monumental on his ‘Boys Like You’ Tour.

Tickets $25.50(Incl. BF) click ‘Buy Tickets’ | also available from Planet, Star Surf & Skate, Mills, 78 Records & Live Clothing Stores.

Some people said that we would never be able to write a third album about beards, now, they are all dead.  We are hitting the road to launch our new album “Having A Beard Is The New Not Having A Beard” in March and April.

You should come.

For a band that never expected to play more than one show, The Beards have certainly come a long, long way. Forming as a joke to play a single show in Adelaide, the entirely beard-based band have gone on to become underground legends of the Australian music scene. Since the release of their second album, Beards Beards Beards (2009), The Beards have spread their bearded message throughout Australia with constant touring and countless performances all over the country. Now, The Beards are hitting the road again, and bringing with them their much-anticipated third album,Having a Beard is the New Not Having a Beard.

Anyone who thought this band would be struggling to write more songs about beards will be proven utterly wrong as the Aussie four-piece unleash eleven new songs – each of which is primarily focussed on the importance of having a large amount of facial hair.

“It will be our third concept album about the same concept – the only concept of any importance to any of us – beards!” Explains frontman Johann Beardraven.

Having a Beard is the New Not Having a Beard will pick up where the second album left off, and will see band incorporating bigger, more lavish arrangements, an even more eclectic mix of musical styles and a great deal more instrumentation.

“It’s going to be even more about beards than our last record”, says bassist Nathaniel Beard.

The Having a Beard is the New Not Having a Beard Australian tour will take in QLD, NSW, ACT VIC, TAS, SA & WA as one of Australia’s most original bands hammers home its steadfast message: Grow a beard. The album will be released through MGM and available at all good record stores and online from Friday March 9, 2012.

Big Apachee proudly present STAYIN’ BLUE AUSTRALIAN TOUR – Eiffel 65 & N-trance

The 1990’s are back with a vengeance when two of the decade’s biggest selling dance artists team up for a special concert series that promises to take you back in time for one awesome party!

The world was a different place in 1999. It was a world pre?GFC, where the Nokia 3210 was cutting edge technology and Y2K loomed to destroy it all. If you ignore the endless replays of Prince’s 1999 the soundtrack of that year was Eiffel 65’s Blue (Da Ba Dee). The song was everywhere – the catchy chorus played on radios everywhere and repeated endlessly inside the brains of millions. Such was the impact that the song went 3x Platinum in Australia, outselling Offspring’s “Pretty Fly”, Cher’s “Believe” and Shania “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” Twain. And it wasn’t just Australia that took to the tune: Blue hit #1 the world over from France to Canada before going x5 Gold in Germany and Platinum in the UK. Blue (Da Ba Dee) turned three Italian musicians into international superstars and the follow up track Move Your Body went Platinum again. Eventually their reputation was cemented when acts like S Club 7, Nek & the Bloodhound Gang asked Eiffel 65 to remix some of their tracks.

Just as the 1990’s started two friends who were studying sound engineering at Oldham College decided they could produce dance music comparable to that on the rave scene at the time. Using the equipment and the recording studio at the college they began recording demo tracks. The second garnered instant attention and a bidding war began between record labels. 380 Records came to the fore, the band signed a recording contract and NTrance was born. Years of touring and performing in clubs cemented their live reputation and in 1995 their breakthrough track Set You Free sold 600000 units in the UK and lit up dance floors all over the world. It remains an enduring track with over 25 recorded versions of the track released by all manner of artists. In 1995 they covered the Bee Gee’s disco anthem Staying Alive which reached #1 in Australia, Canada and South Africa and was the second highest selling British single in the world. Even former UK PM Tony Blair listed NTrance’s Staying Alive as one of his choices on BBC’s Desert Island Discs. And for those of you thinking N?Trance lacks street?cred (the Tony Blair thing probably didn’t help) they
ended up touring Australia alongside Run DMC in 1998.

And this September Eiffel 65 and N?Trance unite for what will be a fantastic night of memories and music. Also joining the bill will be Mr.95 who will be playing a special set of 90’s classics guaranteed to start the party.

Big Apachee proudly presentS CLUB with special guests BIG BROVAZ

In case you hadnft noticed from sell out tours from the likes of Aqua and The Vengaboys the Nineties
are back with a vengeance. And for those of you who did notice the 90fs probably never ended in
the first place. But you ainft seen nothing yet…

The biggest party of all has just been announced and you know that there Ain’t No Party quite like an S-CLUB party!

Originally hailing from the UK, S CLUB’s reach was definitively global. Their TV show Miami 7, a
childrenfs sitcom based on the lives of the group who moved to Miami in search of fame, was a
worldwide success story, watched by over 90 million viewers in more than 100 countries. Add to
that two TV specials . Back to the ’50′s and Boyfriends and Birthdays’ and the group’s fame was
assured. But it was the music that really generated excitement across generations of children and
their parents. The up-tempo Bring It All Back went number one in the UK and the follow up single S-Club Party was a hit from Europe to the antipodes. Two more singles followed and the eventual debut album S Club was suddenly everywhere . it went double platinum in the UK, gold in the US and even cracked number one in Chile! A slot at the high profile Party in the Park festival in front of 100000 screaming fans swiftly followed as did a BRIT Award for British Breakthrough Act. Further TV series followed as did more hits like Reach, Natural and Don’t Stop Movin’ .

World tours beckoned, as did a spin-off band (S Club Juniors, made up of young children who had 6 top ten hits in the UK in their own right), more BRIT Awards and the eventual disintegration as members left to pursue solo interests. But in 2012 S CLUB is back together again teaming up to bring the party down under.  Joining them for the ride as special guests will be Big Brovaz. The R&B collective formed in London when producer Fingaz was putting together a compilation recording of underground hip-hop acts. So successful was the chemistry between the collaborators that the Big Brovaz compilation release
in fact became the group. Nu Flow, the titular single from the debut studio album, was a top 5 hit across Europe and hit number 3 in Australia and number 1 in NZ. Their 3rd single Favourite Things, a rework of The Sound of Music song, was even bigger. And mercifully years later, thanks to the invitation of S CLUB, Big Brovaz finally make it to Australia.
